We are celebrating our 30th year in "Sport Education" and are pleased that you have joined us! Our staff is dedicated to helping students build character through conquering challenges. The skills learned at Gymco will benefit your child in virtually every sport in which they participate, and their character development will have lifelong positive effects. We thank you for putting your confidence in us, and we pledge to strive for continued excellence in every area of our program. As a member of Gymco, your children will receive valuable discounts on special events, birthday parties and open gyms. Make sure we have your email address to receive all our communications.
CLASS POLICIES & PROCEDURES
Our goal is for each student to learn safely and to gain the maximum benefit from each class in our facility...
1. Students should arrive no sooner than ten minutes prior to class and should be picked up within ten minutes after class. Our teachers are available to answer questions prior to and at the conclusion of classes for your convenience.
2. Students may not use equipment in the gym without supervision of a staff member. Safety is very important to Gymco staff; each of our teachers completes a Safety Certification course and are First Aid Certified.
3. Please be sure to arrive on time for classes- besides being an exciting part of our classes, Gymco's musical warm-ups get bodies ready for motion and prevent injury.
4. Please make sure your child has used the bathroom prior to class so they receive the full benefit of class time.
5. Please keep all children with illness at home. Gymco is more than happy to schedule a make-up for a missed class.
6. In the event of an accident, all staff are required to fill out an accident report. We will inform the parent/guardian of the accident, and will follow up with a phone call to check on the student's condition.
PAYING TUITION
Gymco has chosen to average tuition based on a 4-week month. There are several times during the course of the year that a student will receive 5 weeks of lessons during a month, and we do not charge extra for these lessons. There will also be months, due to holidays, students will only receive 3 lessons, in which case there is no discount because they make up for it in the months which have 5 weeks.
LATE FEES
Fees are due the first class of each month. Class fees not received by the 15th of the month are charged a $15 late fee per student. Class fees not received be the third class of the month will result in the removal of your child from the class. A $25 returned check charge will apply to all returned checks. Returned checks need to be paid within 30 days or they will be sent to collections. Accounts past due more than 60 days will be turned into collections. If the office is closed, payment envelopes are available at the reception desk.
AUTO CHARGE
Let Gymco do it for you! We have an auto charge program for your convenience! Fees are charged at the last business day of the prior month. You may enroll for auto charge by talking with the office staff.
DRESS CODE
Pre-Sport and Gymnastics students must wear a leotard or a T-shirt and elastic-waist shorts. Please avoid buckles, snaps, zippers, buttons, and skirts or footed tights. Sweat suits may be worn on cold days. They must wear socks with grippers, gymnastics shoes, or go bare foot. Please avoid wearing jewelry or ornamental hair pieces. Long hair must be pulled up.
GYMCO RECOGNIZES ACHIEVEMENT
We love to celebrate with our students as they achieve! We recognize that through reaching goals, children experience a sense of accomplishment which contributes to their self-esteem. Examples of how Gymco actively uses positive reinforcement are stamps, birthday suckers, and
certificates for accomplished skills.
ATTENDANCE AWARDS!!!
Students who are enrolled in Gymco's program continuously for a year will be awarded an "Awesome Athlete" T-shirt on the anniversary date of his or her enrollment.
MAKE-UP CLASSES
*In the event a student cannot attend a class, a make-up can be conveniently arranged through the office. All make-ups must be scheduled within one month of the missed class and becomes void when a student stops taking classes. Once a make-up class is scheduled it cannot be rescheduled.
*Open Gym Pass Option: Students can receive two Open Gym passes for each class missed in lieu of a make-up. Open Gym passes must be issued w/in 30 days of the missed class.
*Summer Convenience: Four missed classes are available during June-August without charge to allow for vacations. Please call the office @ 956-0586 to schedule your optional weeks off.
LOST & FOUND
Please claim all lost articles within 30 days- unclaimed articles will be donated to charity.
INCLEMENT WEATHER
In case of inclement weather, Gymco will post closings on our office voicemail, www.gymco.com, and WoodTV8 at least one hour before classes start.
